Growth behavior of WO₃crystal topological structure and its electrochromic properties

In this work, WO<sub>3</sub> crystal structure films are deposited on conductive glass substrates by seed layer assisted hydrothermal reaction method. Through controlling the concentration of hydrochloric acid, oxalic and postprocessing temperature, micro-peony, micro urchin-like, porous petal-like structures obtained respectively. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission (TEM) electrochemical characterization used to study formation mechanism different their effects electrochromic properties films. The Cl<sup>–</sup> in HCl has a strong promoting role towards <i>c</i> axis growth acid effect an <i>a</i> axis. terms color efficiency, CE value micro-urchin is 42.37 cm<sup>2</sup>/C, far greater than those two other structures, 15.21 cm<sup>2</sup>/C 12.71 cm<sup>2</sup>/C. Owing cold-water quenching treatment, micro-peony with surface 56.95 quadruple smooth structure, slightly better that structure.
